Dia Beacon is the perfect warm-weather escape from the city. Housed in a nearly 300,000-square-foot former Nabisco factory on the Hudson River, 34,000 square feet of skylights flood the galleries with natural light. The museum features artist-focused spaces, including work by Louise Bourgeois, Agnes Martin, Donald Judd, Richard Serra, Andy Warhol, and more. Open Friday–Monday, 10 am–5 pm.
Take the Metro-North from Grand Central to the Beacon station, about 90 minutes. From the station, walk 7 minutes or take the Beacon Free Loop Bus (runs Monday–Saturday).

Most visitors spend 2–3 hours exploring the galleries.
Dia Beacon has limited on-site parking. On busy weekends and holidays, drivers may be asked to park at the Metro-North Beacon station, located 1/2 mile away (an 8–10 minute walk).
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Dia Beacon offers family-friendly programs; Play Sets and Saturday Studio are suitable for children ages five and up.
Dia Beacon provides public tours every Saturday and Sunday at 12 pm and 1:30 pm. Tours are free with admission; no reservation required. Guided walk-throughs of Michael Heizer's North, East, South, West and Lawrence Weiner's CADMIUM & MUD & TITANIUM & LEAD & FERROUS OXIDE & SO ON . . . are offered at 9:30 am on all days of operation.
Hudson Valley residents receive free admission on the last Sunday of each month.
